Congratulations on your upcoming graduation as you reach another milestone in your education. The Kiwanis Club of Elmhurst actively promotes advanced education opportunities for students in our area. New this year we are offering scholarships to students who will be enrolling their first year of full time study at a university, vocational school or community college. This application is for a scholarship in the amount of $2,000 and is paid directly to the educational institution you will be attending this fall on a full time basis.
Two recipients will be chosen based upon volunteerism, leadership roles, honors and awards, employment, personal statements, scholarship achievement and references. Specific questions can be found on the application.
Each scholarship awarded is made on merit with a focus on community service. Scholarship criteria are:
Graduate of York High School and member of Key Club
All awards will be based upon our evaluation of the information that is submitted on your application. Scholarship awards recipients will be notified by Kiwanis Club of Elmhurst Key Club Sponsor, Eric Porter.
Money raised to help fund this scholarship program is made possible by Kiwanis Fall Mum Sale, Howard Aldrich Endowment Fund and generous donations by our members.
